Default Headlight out... it's not the bulb

Well I have angel eyes installed, and I know that is the root of the problem, I've had them installed for almost a year with no problems. I have an '08 GT with OEM HIDs.

About a month ago I noticed condensation in both headlights and now the driver side is out (been about a week and a half). I switched the bulbs, and the driver side stayed off, so I know it's not the bulb. Both fuses for the headlights are fine. I will be testing the ballast this weekend. Any other ideas of what it could be?

Anyone know where I can get a new oem ballast for a reasonable price? That or a set of OEM headlights, I've found a couple sites selling them, but they list them as halogen type.... are they the same (minus the ballast mounting on the bottom)?

I don't want to go to the dealer because I know they will tell me to fuck off and pay full price plus labor to do this shit, and I'm broke as fuck right now.

Better watch yourself when you mess with the ballast, it packs a helluva jolt.

You could try a junker for an OEM ballast, that's probably your best bet. Try posting in all the forums as there are a couple guys parting out smashed cars. Maybe you can find a smashed light with a good ballast. Anything over a hundred dollars isn't worth it since you can probably just replace both systems with an after market.

Condensation in the headlight isn't the end of the world. It's not like its a sealed unit or anything.

Your ballast is hosed. Replacing them is very easy. You could go with an aftermarket unit as long as the plugs fit. i never really paid much attention to the plugs that connect the HID to the ballast but you may be lucky that they are of universal style.

Thanks guys, I'm going to bake the headlights again, to get the condensation out and take it to the dealer to see if they'll work with me. If that falls through I'll check the junk yards/forums. I'm trying to keep this as cheap as possible right now, as the economy is killing me.
