(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score So I bought my 07 speed 3 with a rod knock so I couldn't drive it. Just finished rebuilding the engine and put it all back together and drove it for the first time and everything is good apart from getting some codes. I'm not finding much info in the search or google so was hoping someone can help point me in the right direction so I can fix the issue's. INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MODULE-ICM MEMORY U2516 CAN WIRING HARNESS OPEN OR SHORT. U2064 WARNING INDICATOR REQUESTED BY ANOTHER CONTROL MODULE I have read this might be caused by my accessport? PASSENGER JUNCTION BOX-PJB MEMORY: U1900 ABS CAN COMMUNICATION BUS FAULT B2212 PANEL DIM SWITCH OUT OF RANGE ANTILOCK BRAKES-ABS MEMORY C1234 RIGHT FRONT WHEEL SPEED SENSOR INPUT MISSING (I replaced the sensor but the light came right back on when driving) AIRBAG-AIRBAG MEMORY B2232 AIRBAG CIRCUIT OPEN-LOOP 2: DRIVER SIDE Think this is from the steering wheel clock? Cleared it but it comes right back on. As far as I know the car has never been in a accident and I cleared all the codes with my snap-on scanner but these come back or wont go away. any help is greatly appreciated.

| Not Ranked : 0 score do you see the air bag light coming on separately and turning off while you put the key to on? I saw that some peoples mess with the cluster to by-pass alarm lights to sell a car or pass inspection and this would be a way to notice it unless they are very skilled to add electronic delay... Usually the Uxxxx comes on with the connection of the AP for the abs, you also need a magnetic wheel bearing to be installed on the right side to have the signal to work. you could have a gx bearing without abs or installed reverse. i would check continuity from the ecm harness to check if you have same resistance as the sensor to make sure prior to put money into a new bearing. the steering bag is just held by some screw on the back, you may have a look there and see if you have a yellow connector too. even if there was no accidents, someone may have mess with an aftermarket sterring or just repair the car himself to pass under the carfax radar. (a good practice is to disconnect the battery first but if you have a snap on scaner i expect you would know that...)

The air bag light comes on when I turn the ignition to on then the light turns off for a second and comes back on. I'll pull the airbag and see if I can find anything,a buddy of mine had the same code with his explorer and he just cleaned the contact points in the plug and that fixed it. I will check out the wheel bearing tonight,it would be nice if that was my issue so I don't need to rip into the harness. I checked all my fuses and the PJB last night but no issue stood out to me, checked all the contacts/connections also. Wondering if my U1900 code is related to my C1234 code with the ABS sensor not reading.

| Not Ranked : 0 score i'm not sure how you can easily test the bearing without removing it or not destroy it when removing it..... i never tried but even with the bearing in hands, the magnetic side isn't very strong...you barely feel it with a large screwdriver

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score finally had some time to dig into the mazda. I checked the wires running from the sensor to the ABS ECM and everything was good there. suspecting its the wheel bearing I tried to clean it off but no go, I did find that a small screw driver will stick to it. as for my U code's, I found a mess of splices from one of those used car dealer security systems, removed all of that and they all went away apart from the (U2064 WARNING INDICATOR REQUESTED BY ANOTHER CONTROL MODULE) witch should be related to the accessport. and I removed the air bag and didn't find anything out of the norm. I tested all the controls and everything works except the curse control (set) button and obviously sense it won't set the speed I couldn't test any other function but it dose turn on (light on the dash).

| Not Ranked : 0 score The cruise don't work if abs light is on. Buying used is one of my fear to get a wiring harness tempered with, some peoples want to install anything and even if it is done properly, there is no plans of the work done...

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score OKAY! I finally have everything fixed so figured I would post up the problems. "INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MODULE-ICM MEMORY U2516 CAN WIRING HARNESS OPEN OR SHORT." FIX (found a wire that was spliced into to run sub woofer/amp junk) "U2064 WARNING INDICATOR REQUESTED BY ANOTHER CONTROL MODULE" FIX (this is from the AP) "PASSENGER JUNCTION BOX-PJB MEMORY: U1900 ABS CAN COMMUNICATION BUS FAULT." FIX (Fixing the splice from U2516 fixed this also) "B2212 PANEL DIM SWITCH OUT OF RANGE." FIX (the LED on the dim switch was burnt out.) "ANTILOCK BRAKES-ABS MEMORY C1234 RIGHT FRONT WHEEL SPEED SENSOR INPUT MISSING" FIX (I tested everything so replaced the wheel bearing and that fixed it) "AIRBAG-AIRBAG MEMORY B2232 AIRBAG CIRCUIT OPEN-LOOP 2: DRIVER SIDE" FIX (I tested the clock spring and found a open loop, so replaced it and the air bag light turned off) I now have all the lights on the dash off and no bad codes!!
