Turbo bolt on kit question

Hey,

Can someone who has installed a BNR turbo please help me out here?

I want to replace my stock turbo with a BNR S4, and also get a 3.5" intake to match the turbo outlet.

*But* as I live in Canada I want to order everything in one go and have everything I need to hand for the day of the install.

So my question is, can someone please take a look at this list and let me know if I need anything else? when I say anything, I mean anything. Extra nuts and bolts, coolant lines, gaskets etc.

The car already has all the required prerequisites so I don't mean stuff like HPFP internals and step colder plugs, I mean stuff I need for the day of the install so I can drive it home.

This is what I intend to buy.

The Turbo bolt on kit

Smaller battery tray (to make room for the larger intake)

I found it easier to do the swap by removing the exh manifold. If you go that route, you need to have a gasket for that too.
Strange that I see new studs in the kit but not locking nuts...
If you remove the oil drain line from the block, you'll need that gasket.

Regarding the exhaust manifold gasket, does this look like the correct part?

For the exhaust manifold bolts and nuts, I was told to order 9 of each, does that seem correct?

That's the manifold/turbo gasket and comes with the kit. I'm talking about the manifold/engine gasket.

Looks like 9 studs come in the kit. Just get the nuts.

Did you have any issues with coolant lines not being long enough? I thought I read somewhere that it was a good idea to get some extra just in case.

I have the Corksport kit. But yeah, I did need to do some coolant line trickery.

Please explain this trickery you speak of. I too have the Corksport and the coolant lines are not to my satisfaction. One is rubbing on the wastegate the other on the TIP. I am going to try and figure it out this weekend.

Did you splice into them and make them longer to go under or over? By the block or by the firewall?

you're missing the harness for the map sensor. You don't technically need a battery tray for the 6, you can modify the stocker to work with the larger intake. It will make things easier though.

On the 6s I'd suggest you remove the cowling. This takes about 15 minutes and gives you a ton of extra room around the turbo to work with.

If you're going to be removing the exhaust manifold I would highly recommend new studs and nuts for that, as far as oil drain gasket, the BNR s4 kit comes with that so no need to worry. Also order 5 extra nuts for the downpipe studs. The studs that come in the kit are stricky meant for the turbo, nothing else so you will need to get manifold studs.

So another few items that I have been advised to purchase are the two gaskets that come with the BNR kit. Apparently they are bad quality and I should get Mazda OEM replacements.
I am talking about the Upper Downpipe Gasket & the Manifold Turbo Gasket.

And as I am installing a large 3.5" intake, I should also buy a 5/8" Hose Extension Kit from HTP at the same time as ordering the intake.

I haven't had any problems with the included gaskets, and honestly you can make that extension hose for far cheaper than HTP wants.
