(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score First Impression- It was'nt noticeable at first. But as I left the Synapse facility I was so turned on by the BOVs sound for the first part of my ride home...It still felt like it was just a replacement of stock. Well I had to go visit my friend turbotodd down in chula vista cuz he had something I left at work....So.... 20 miles later the differences started to show.....It wasnt like an Oh shit(can I say this here?) 100 hp gained but it was a better feel than stock. I feel as if there more there with light throttle applications...Even with the pedal depressed all the way down it starts to feel more peppy....The car feels lighter!...Its hard to describe....Well iits still early and maybe the ECU is starting to Synchronize To the Synchronic and it may take time,..... I give synapse a 5 out of 5..... Well Aside from what I think of Synapse my numbers on the Dyno very much impressed me.....I am very happy with it..... My first run was my stock which is: 2 resonator delete;and a spectre 3" intake setup.... I made 233 hp and 294ft/lbs.....Woohooo With the synchronic....The curve had a slight change and I made 249 hp and 284 ft/lbs. Well the run is so similar to stock but Like i said, It is starting to feel so much better the more I drive it....So all you skeptical fools give me time to run it around and get a better Idea of what it does for me....Questions? Heres one video of the rear of my dyno: |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Mine does spike in the upper gears as well similar to running the forge with the red spring.. When i first got my valve the adjustment to the pre-load was completely tight i noticed this after my valve built boost slowly and i started poking around.. After reading dirvers thread it got me thinking so i tried different combos of set ups and taking the car out to see how it performed(making certain to listen for compressor surge). Anyway long story short I ended up backing the pre-load spring out ALL the way and, WOW what a difference. I then got some minor backfiring between shifts in the high RPM so i started making 1/2 turns tighter till the backfiring went away, then 1 more 1/2 turn to be on the safe side and now i have a great running/sounding valve. Judges scores 1-10! Fitment(COBB SRI)= -1 Install(ease)=1 Sound=9 Performance=9 (i gave the Forge an 8) |

| Not Ranked : 0 score you gained 16 hp but lost 10 ft-lbs torque? Sounds like the dyno is erratic as hell. I'm sure the BOV is better than stock but the dyno is weird. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Actually the dyno was steady. We did 2 runs of each bov and it matched up quite well. It is the car adjusting still because we had to take my intake off and then put it back after the Bov was installed. Every time you do something with your intake you mess with that Maf and that can change Numbers quicklike |
