| Not Ranked : 0 score Edit.. You don't even have to let it hit 25 psi, but just log what the wgdc is doing when this happens vs. your wgdc table and wgdc boost error comp table. I'm tempted to say to lower your wgdc boost ramp limit high to 5, but my guess is an overly aggressive wgdc boost error comp table. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score well since im still on the solenoid, im pretty much maxing it out while im hitting the 20psi doing a normal pull. heres a log that i did recently (i think i have a slight boost leak because i dont think it should be maxed out yet, but that is constant throughout the log and the 25 spike so it shouldnt make a difference) id also prefer not to do it again unless i have to. my map sensor wouldnt be able to give an accurate reading anyway since its the 2.5bar |

Now that I think about it, it would be more beneficial to pump up you wgdc boost error comp overboost portion of your table. The ramp limiter limits the amount of continuously multiplied correction the wgdc comp table can make to the wgdc table. | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I may be wrong here but I think when you downshift the ecu is moving faster than the spool, so the ecu reads rpm/throttle boost target, sees that its under target and adds boost error to the mix, ramping the wgdc higher than is actually needed and causing a spike. If i'm wrong I apologise for my newbness.

I would try taking the stock overboost portion of the wgdc boost error comp table and multiply it by 1.5. You could also introduce a small wgdc load error comp table to control load and hybrid tune as Fobio and Bluestreak call it. | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I think your first step needs to be a boost leak test. You have a .55AR turbine 3076 and your spooling slower than my T3 gt35. What does your WGDC table look like? This is mine. I'm targeting 23psi, I hit 24.5 and immediately drop into the 23's all the way to redline.. Max WG boost dynamics is 15%. the 100% cells start the spool, the 90% forces the WG dynamics adjustment up as I haven't hit my target yet, the 30% cell prevents any significant spike, and the 40~41 cells hold me at my target, and ensure that downshifting and going WOT doesn't cause a massive boost spike.. Code: 100.00 100.00 100.00 100.00 100.00 100.00 100.00 90.00 30.00 40.00 40.00 40.00 41.00 41.00 41.00 The OEM BCS setup is junk--your forcing yourself to use high base WGDC values to hit your target boost, but that will cause the spikes your seeing. A good EBCS will allow you to run high WGDC to spool as fast as possible, but use much lower WCDG values and the WG dynamics to maintain once you hit your target..

| Not Ranked : 0 score i get that kind of issue with electronic boost controlling. it could not open wg fast enough and if you have internal wg that does not help. get rid of boost controller and put a 20psi spring in your wastegate if you got external problem solved =p |

| Not Ranked : 0 score How is your OEM BCS connected? You should not need 100% WGDC above 3500psi--you should be hitting your 20psi around 4K.. Post your WGDC table, your boost error comp table, and your boost error ramp high limiter... and a third gear log, and we'll see if we can make it any better with you having to spend any money..

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score oem bcs is basically t'd off from my boost source and iwg. i got a quick log today and ill post up my map so you can take a look that way. today it spiked to 25+ within an extremely short time. i have a hunch that my iwg may be actually stuck closed (see ATP 1 Bar iwg turbos ) i have an insane weekend coming up including me driving to georgia (from nj) tomorrow for a funeral monday and then back again in time for work here again on tuesday ( i may just not sleep for 3 days) so i wont be able to check it till tuesday or wednesday |

Looking at your log you should only need 100% WGDC to 3000rpm~3500rpm, every value after that should be significantly lower... If you get a chance drop all your WGDC targets by 40% above 3500rpm, and take a new third gear log, make sure to go WOT at 2900~3000rpm. It doesn't matter if you don't hit your target, you just need to be able to make a full pull..
