Man this is terrible.

I think I was the first person on MSF to call out this mani as a over priced, poorly designed, over hyped, pile of crap. I did try to warn you guys.

Back on topic... He cant charge a 30% restocking fee if it wasnt disclosed before hand.

Also saying that he cant refund the powdercoating fee would only apply if you did the pc, he is 100% legally responsible for the pc since it was sold with the mani. If the pc warped the mani then he needs to take it up with the pc company.

The $250 repair might be legit, even though it isnt a reasonable repair cost, but you could argue in court that you made all reasonable and even some unreasonable effort to make the part work and in the end it just wasnt going to fit. Even if it was repaired it still wouldnt fit anyway.

He also cannot deny a refund because a part was "custom order", a custom order part is a one of a kind part that is made once by a company. Also the fact that it is for sale on his web site completely flys in the face of that logic, regardless this needs to be disclosed before the sale.

Our MS3 section is growing, I just need to update/re-work the site. Regarding the current situation though, I will help MSP6COP and others who have order manifolds from medieval to the best of my abilities. Because I know how yall feel, i learned the hard way with ebay turbo kits in my younger days

^i'm on the forums almost everyday. Anybody who sent us a pm with a problem, has had their problem corrected.
-This thread is coming off of a witch hunt with people carrying torches. I was surprised to hear about civil cases! Buying plane tickets to rob/beat medieval. This type of behavior won't help come to a resolution.
-Haltech, we both tried to contact you immediately after you froze the accounts.
-We would have been in this thread sooner however the accounts were locked, and we could not type in any thread.
-Randy we are all sorry for what happen, but to say the manifold exhausted the techs to the point were they weren't able to perform the tasks. That is not our fault, once again we are sorry for your misfortunes.
-ms6cop, in all fairness name one company that would warranty anything after taking a hammer to it. We are not talking about sanding a bit here or there. If something was wrong with the runner, medieval would have taken care of it, free of charge. I'm not saying the manifold did not fit. But with anytbody product, it there is a problem you don't handle it your way, and than say fix it. After you beat the product
-I've been on the forums for a while now, and almost none of this has been put in the medieval section, and it has not been brought to my attention via PM.
-I would like to help everybody come to a resolution here. Please stop posting anything thats not benefical to helping each person, and stop the witch hunt.

I have contacted you several times via PM about my mounts. All you did was direct me to send emails to sales@medieval ...that didn't get me very far either, so I will dispute the above statement.

A word of advice...since you've gotten your account back, I would politely suggest that you resist the urge to get into a pissing match with guys on MSF...I bring Cobb up as a prime example. Work with us and we will reward you with business...please don't turn this more sour than it already is.

Not trying at all we all know what happens i.e. cobb! The last thing anybody wants is a pissing match, especially with the prominent members on the forums.
My job, its to be the eyes and ears on the forum. I tell medieval when their is problem and he handles it. I take your information and call him, or whatever to get the problem fixed. I'm sure I never just gave you his e-mail. that is probably how he replied back to you.

I've pm'd you several times about needing that turbo flange to finish my manifold. I finally got a reply yesterday saying you'll talk to the main man or something. That's not resolved in my book. I'd much rather see a tracking number.

Also, I checked my header flange last night after seeing all the warped pictures, and it's also indeed warped. It also crashed with the alternator and required ALOT of grinding to get it to fit on the head.

Does the fact that i grinded it mean you guys wouldn't warranty it for the warpage? Cause that's DAMN SIMILAR to msp6cop and his "banging with a hammer" (which is a big exaggeration IMO) to make it fit. I couldn't return my ipod after "grinding" on it.

Just to let everyone know, i ordered ONLY the raw header and turbo flanges, so i could build my own manifold. Nothing has been coated, nothing has been welded. Only plasma cut. AND IT'S STILL WARPED. So i don't really understand how the blame could be put on the powder coating, haha.

Kinda like Haltech says, use shit material, get a shit product.

So, how about that turbo flange? Has it shipped? Like i've said in the pm's, my car is in pieces and i REALLY need to get it back together again.

Yeah but for a 925 dollar manifold, that part better nearly put itself on. He tried to massage the runner into place which he shouldn't have to do in the first place, but rather than waiting another 2 months or whatever for a new mani, that may or may not fit, he decided to try and make it work. Obviously if it had fit with the hammering, we wouldn't be seeing this thread.

Really, what kind of company charges $925 for a manifold that is made like shit? You are a broken record. Yeah I beat it with a hammer BECAUSE IT DIDN'T FIT. What kind of company charges $925 up front for a part that took 8 weeks for me to get? You said it would have taken a week were I have requested another manifold but that was a fucking huge LIE. Why, after $925 and 8 weeks would I wait any longer to take my BT to the next level after going through a literal nightmare trying to install a part that didn't fit??? What kind of company simply ignores (yeah no one is buying that spam filter shit) their customers?? I went 12 days with no response and you're telling me that you simply said, "Well that guy must have given up, at least we get to keep his money.". Seriously, the simple fact that you're offering to send me a new manifold is ADMITTING THAT YOU MADE A PIECE OF SHIT THAT DIDN'T HAVE ANY CHANCE MAKING IT INTO MY CAR. Did I hit it with a hammer? YES. Should I have had to do that if it were made right? NO.

There is no way in fucking hell me, or anyone else is going to grind the turbine housing on their $1800 turbos to make your poorly made manifold "work". You're not convincing anyone. Everything is a lie, excuse, lie, excuse, lie, excuse. What sort of company doesn't post a telephone number to contact them? You flat out told everyone that you tried to get a hold of me several times, which was a HUGE LIE. No one has tried to help me get this working except GRIM fro selling me that PG EWG manifold that I was able to install in about an hour because it was made PROPERLY, IMAGINE THAT.

The difference between Medieval and COBB is that COBB came back to these fucking boards and APOLOGIZED then made shit right. I'm STILL WAITING FOR THIS TO BE MADE RIGHT. (Please dear god stop trying to force your manifold on me, I want MONEY, NOT ANOTHER PAPERWEIGHT).

Hahaha, it seriously isn't "POUNDED THE SHIT OUT OF" in the pic in that thread. Definitely dented in, but not jack hammered. I think he just posted it that way out of frustration.

My flange on the other hand, has now been "GROUND THE FUCK OUT OF", hahahaha.

And honestly, how is hammering any worse than completely cutting and re-welding, which is what would have been necessary to make it fit.

I've always replied to your pm's and you have been pleasant. I'm not sure what happened to the flange, and I'm sorry for the work that you had to put into it. I'm sure medieval has a solid response for you.

So my girlfriends vagina was super tight, so what did I do? I banged the shit out of her and what do you you know, it FIT.

I seriously don't see the logic in bringing up that I dented that runner. Cutting that runner at the welds and re welding it so someone else could have tried it (and found that it didn't fit) makes no sense to me. I damaged a part that was useless because I was frustrated that I spent so much money and waited so long. Why don't you just take my money and have a nice day? Oh I forget, that's been on the agenda. I really wish you guys would post your names and get personal with us. Supposedly there's 3 owners. Sometimes I'm treated with respect, other times shit, sometimes both at the same time. Medieval is some magical asshole robot that is trying to find flaws in my argument against their poorly managed "company" so that people on these forums (which is your bread and butter by the way) will by your bull shit parts.

I'd love for you to reconcile all of this though, seriously.

Trust me when I tell you I understand your frustration. We both now the PG manifold is easier to install because it is smaller and doens't have a true collecter...I've installed both! So let me get this straight, you want to keep the manifold and get your money back?

i agree. i'm not saying that it should have to be altered in any way, shape or form...

again, i'm not going to argue that it should fit for the price. i agree.
i've also done my share of hitting parts up against the curb, breaking them, prying them, making them fit...
i wouldn't exactly expect much from the manufacturer though once the i had altered the part.
but i'ma take a step back obviously and just let cop and medieval handle their shit

Matt,

Every time you write, I reply. Unfortunately there are 2 other owners and a decision is made 3 ways. As it stands the bare minimum you will loose 180 for ceramic coating and a re stocking fee if we feel it can be sold as a damaged item. The manifold was test fitted on monday and it went in. So with 3 of us and a few different options open we are looking at it as a whole.

Well I just need more communication man. The manifold got to you last thursday and you told me there would be a decision on tuesday, then on thursday (today). I'm not sure what needs to be decided. I got a part that was made wrong, and I sent you pictures proving so. I'm not sure what this "deciding" procedure is so that's why I'm continuing to be frustrated. If I don't get all or most (justifiably) of my money by the end of the week I'm gonna be forced to file a small claims case man. I really don't want it to come to that, but time is scarce and this is an open and shut case. Someone needs to be more communicative with me, I feel like I'm talking to 4 different people.

Thanks,
Matt

Matt,

We here are in the middle of making up a thread about the atp turbo.
The
casting flash is cut away with a band saw and not 2 are the same. This
is not a
huge deal as we are now going to release that if the runner hits the
turbo that
you will need to grind down the casting flash.

We will work through it. We have received a few people
emailing us already about your manifold. I have been on the phone with
atp and now know why the manifold was hitting the turbo hot side. When
they remove the hot side from the mold during casting they just cut the
casting flash off with a band saw. This means the height will be
different from one to another. I have made 24 production manifolds to
date with yours being the only production one hitting. Sent from my

Matt, The AC high side line is in a different location
on
the Speed 3 than in the Speed 6. Your manifold was crossed with someone
else's. We hired a few new guys and have had a few issues with getting
them up to speed. The Speed 6 EWG tube is 2" shorter than the Speed 3.
This is why you are having an issue with that. For this I'm truly sorry
and will be handling this tomorrow with the guys in shipping. I
understand your frustration now as I would be too. Please, give us
another shot and let us send you the right manifold that fits the right
way. The turn around time will be next week as I will spend my weekend
fabbing a new one up and then driving it to Jethot on Tuesday to have
them coat it. -------- Original Message --------

1st is runner hitting mani with gap between mani and turbo, 2nd is half
of the bend needed to accomodate for 3071, 3rd is damage to turbo from
forcing mani on, 4th and 5th are awful waste gate placement.
Check it out dude, here's a giant series of emails from the point that I sent the manifold back leading up to you understanding and AGREEING THAT I WANTED A REFUND. Are you kidding me? What are you so confused about there guy??????

EDITED: that series of emails went on longer. After that last email at the top I was in the dark for 12 days (yesterday).

Im surprised so many people still supported them after the first batches of broken motor mounts, and shitty, magical, indestructable bushings. I remember when an unnamed company had less major issues with their products, but most people on here were ready to burn them alive.

MedievalREP this is directed towards you.

I told the guy at medieval through email I wanted a refund 3 times.

I said
"I recieved the manifold. But like Erich's, my head flange is slightly warped. There is no one local to me that can resurface headers, I drove around for 2 hours today to just about every machine shop in my town. I have no choice but to ask for a refund. How do I go about getting one ?"

He replied with "If you send it back we will resurface it."

I said "I do not wish for it to be resurfaced. I would like a refund. I am sending the manifold back to you."

He says "We will resurface the manifold and send it back. There will be no issues from there. During coating the temp is 500 degrees and is baked for just over an hour. The outter edges have warped on a few. We will resurface it and it will fit perfect. I will be coming to hollywood next month and if need be will help install yours and Phils while I'm there."

I say "I have already contacted my credit card company man. This stuff is unacceptable."

He says, which I thought was funny. "What is wrong with your manifold? The flange?"

I left a final email stating "he flange is warped. I have wasted too much time with this. The design is great, but the quality control is absolutely retarded. I have had problems with this entire transaction. Don't send me the manifold back please, I am using the tracking from when I send you the manifold as proof that I sent it back so I can get my refund. If you send it back I will still get the refund. You should resurface it and try to sell it by other means."

I wasn't a dick. I wasn't rude. The manifold is just how it was when I received it. I wasted time trying to find a machine shop, and I am done with this entire issue. I want my money back, and I will get it. I just have to provide proof that I sent it back, and then medieval has 30 days to refund me, or they will do the chargeback. It would be nice if they refunded me as soon as they got it so I wouldn't have to wait. That would clean the slate for me with them. If not, I will wait the 30 days.

The guys fabricator told him that the stainless head flange would warp in coating and in driving. He still opted to continue with the builds.
You guys getting new ones, if the flange warped in 500' degrees what the hell do you think it's gonna do when its absorbing all your exhaust. If it warps and you get a leak, have fun with that fire.

These were my thoughts exactly. I was polite as I could be with these guys but I agree completely that they probably cannot afford the funds to give ANY of us refunds which is why I've redirected to exploit every action they make, whether it be good or bad. That series of emails I just posted shows how patient I really was. I still have MORE emails from before those and the most recent ones too.

MSP6COP and Scatt Nasty, I feel your pain.

I received my manifold almost at the same time as MSP6COP and my personnal experience has been awful...here is the thread I created on mazda6club.com about it: Medieval manifold installed pictures - Mazda6 / Atenza

To make a long story short, despite many fitment problems (especially the AC line and EWG) and after 2 days of hard work, I did manage to install the manifold on my car. However, after starting the car and driving down the block, I found a major exhaust leak at the manifold/block. Spent another day trying to fix the leak and guess what...warped flange!!!

It is simply put the worst piece of shit I ever installed on my car.

I spent another afternoon taking it off the car and shipped it back to Myke at Darkstarmotorsports last Monday, June 15.

As for me, well since I bought the manifold from Darkstarmotorsports and not directly from Medieval, Myke has been really helpful and promised me a full refund as soon as he receives the manifold.

I really hope you guys can get your money back because I know that I would not want another one of those shitty manifolds. Took 2 days off from work, wasted I don't know how many hours, lost the shipping fees, etc..

I'll keep you guys posted.

Hey Myke. I also ordered mine through Darkstar Motorsports. Does this mean that my refund process will be as smooth as this guys ? I can have that shit shipped to you today.

I would like to publicly apologize to Darkstar Motorsports. I initially ordered from them and not MEDIEVAL. I have been contacting medieval this entire time. I thought they were the same company lol. My mistake.
