|   Not Ranked : 0 score  The 582 (CX-7) as smaller exhaust A/R and compressor wheel than both the 881 and 882 I once took apart a 582 (CX-7) and 881 (MS6) side by side, and two difference I saw is the journal bearing design and the oil inlet banjo (the CX-7 banjo as a smaller oil passage) Maybe Mazda made some change to the turbo at some point to prevent the smoking issue (by restricting the oil intake and altering the journal bearing design for the lessen oil pressure) 881 may be the old version, and 882 the new version? Anyhow, before I put the MS6 turbo in my CX-7, I rebuilt it with the original journal bearing (the two version are included in the rebuilt kit), and put the turbo on the car with a MS6 banjo bolt (bigger oil inlet hole)... a while after, I begin to have smoking issue The minute I put the CX-7 banjo bolt back, the smoking issue was gone (the CX-7 banjo as a small opening like the Bnoon bolt) Maybe you just need a rebuilt (with the new journal bearing design) and Bnoon bolt?
