| Not Ranked : 0 score I have the type s on mine and have had it for almost a year now and I love it. Like MTuning stated you have to loosen and tighten until you don't get any compressor surge and make sure it holds boost. One thing that you will have to look out for is that mine did rub the plastic under the hood but I easily fixed that by turning the purple head around and the problem was solved.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I had a "fake" type S valve on my old air/water and loved it. I will most likely use one again with the new air/water. Just start at the low setting and adjust it up until the BOV sound goes "cha cha cha chaaaaaaa" a bit, then loosen it back up until it just goes "chaaaaaaaa" nice and smooth.

the TYPE S comes with two springs. it seems the person you bought it from did the "Single Spring Mod" to keep the Bov from causing compressor surge. I would contact them back to make sure you get the other spring just to have it on hand i have a TYPE S and have never had a problem with Compressor Surge. i have been running both springs the whole time. i switched to the single spring mod but there was no change in performance since i never had a problem running both. so i put the spring back in. http://www.evomoto.com/tech_info.php?tPath=1&tech_id=7 "Tuning" i would start by tightening the screw to the hard side to where a 1/3 of the screw is sticking out. never adjust the screw while the nuts are tight. make sure to loosen them then adjust from there. drive the car, if you are getting poping when accelerating hard. then the BOV is too "hard." loosen it a bit.. just drive and adjust, drive and adjust. thats what i do. just to let you know, to get closest to that "TYPE S VTA" sound while in recirc. my BOV has to be tuned to the hard sid emore than anything. but the result is a Great pop off sound but the car runs a bit richer. my car wouldnt pop inbetween shifts but it would pop during WOT or when i would shift into the next gear. it would pop upon getting on the gas here and there hope this helps

| Not Ranked : 0 score I love my Greddy type S. Adjusting was easy, but make sure you loosen the jamnut before you turn the bolt or the threads will get stripped (common problem w/ this BOV). |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I've had my type-s since 06 and haven't had problems with it. Did the single spring mod and when I put new springs in because the new springs, having both of them, were way to tight. Another good BOV that is the same if not better than the old type-s is the NGR or NRG bov. My buddy has the that one and we took them apart and the diaphram in the NGR(NRG) was much better than the type-s which has been known to fail after being used for awhile. BUT easy fix is just replace the diaphram for it. Easy. |
