I could easily see 18 psi only generating 3 PEAK psi, but look at the area under the curve. might have gained 30 or even 40 psi at 4000 rpm, but level off closer to stock on the top end. That happens if the turbo runs out of steam cause it's being overworked in the lower rpms. That's why I believe an EBC is better suited for this stock turbo. You can pretty much tell the turbo exactly how you want it to operate based on quite a few different variable parameters.

omg son look im on slicks 2 omg!
wait, or did i just run my buddies rsx wheels cause he was bitching the reason he couldnt get off the line was due to his tires. We swapped rims and i ran the same 60 on his wheels and tires. the car back then had an intake i think....and it was hot out lol

fast forward to around 3 min

darksun dynoed 240ish stock and 290 with an intake and bc running like 21 psi or something....i was never boost happy so i cant really tell you how the car reacts above 21 psi

yes it was... Then I told him my friend dynod his car and only showed a 3whp and 9ft lbs gain and he said that is no way possisble...

but oh well a dyno proved it for me. And like I said before.. If he shows me a dyno I'd believe him. But now he's still that noob in my book

that what chris laloosh said he gained..lol and i personally feel an increase from my own car going from 15.6 psi to 18psi is ATLEAST 25HP..even if stock..

18psi IS good for 20-30hp on a speed3 not 3hp.. this is my opinion and others..if Chirs didn't say that he would have spoke up...lol SO he did say that...

lmfao u are a surefire nub. Have u seen a dyno with just a mbc? Have u? If so like I said before so proof then I will believe u. But u even told me in a text message u didnt have proof so what do I believe word of mouth or paper with numbers?

i never said it dont hold boost better... i said it doesnt make u GAIN BOOST.... which you told me it did after i sold it to u.. i had to get rid of it because it was junk with out the recir... VTA aint ment for this car..

i just love how you guys are arguing over psi and power. i havent commented because its fun to watch you guys bicker. it all comes down to this turbo being small and not going over 19psi anyway...sure spike to 23 or 24 so you can hold 18 or 19 (that spike is still not great for the turbo) but w/e...i can raise my boost 10 psi and make less power...all i have to do is dump fuel and pull timing... the amount of power you make per psi is a variable number that relies on way to many things to make a blanket statement that you will make 10whp per psi. on a cold day you will make more than on a hot day because you are compressing denser colder air. thats just one example. so guys seriously...you kinda both sound noobish

about a year ago i did some motor work a lil tipsy and forgot to supply my wastegate a pressure source and hit 26lbs with my gt35r on pump gas. needless to say thank god i have a built motor. i looked like a skywriting plane on the 1/4mile drive back to my shop...the head gasket popped since the motor is built and i could wrote things for people in planes flying over me to see...but instead i just pulled the head and replaced the gasket...god that day was long haha

I dont see what peoples fascination in running VTA is. Its gay, its ricer and it goes AGAINST the cars design. We use RECIRC for a reason and it you plan on making ANY safe power, your ass better just stick to the design.

19 psi is about as high as you are going to go with making power. You are already adding more heat to the impractical stock IC as is. Even the ETS cant hold its own against a FMIC. If you have a nice FMIC, than a 20 psi boost level may benefit you more.
