Default CorkSport 3.5 inch intake

I saw this recently and am wondering how it compares to the HTP and JBR 3.5 intakes.

Gotta start looking into which intake to buy when I get the BNR S4.

My goal is about 350 whp. I'm on stock block and don't want to max out the fueling system.

I know that either of these intakes will be more than suitable for that goal.

Ideally I want the loudest one because I gotta hear that turbo spoooolll!!!

But I also want it to fit perfectly. I've done a bit of reading but haven't found any reviews on the Corksport.

My Injen CAI was much louder than my current JBR SRI due to the long aluminum plumbing.

I really miss that intake but had to part it out due to water being sucked into it. (hydro shield helped, but still had issues).

On to bigger and better things!

The HTP maf housing has an inner diameter of 3.37 inches. The Corksport and JBR have an ID of 3.5 inches. Either way, I won't be maxing them out on the stock fuel system I don't think. The JBR 3.5 is not metal, while the other two are, so I'd imagine the JBR is a bit quieter.

The MAF housing also has a built in air straightener, which I've heard is not necessary but I've also heard people having problems without one.

If you go with a 3.5" intake you need a smaller battery box/relocated ECU (CS makes a box as does JBR), and because of the larger MAF housing you need a tune, but if you're getting a bigger turbo anyway that is going to happen regardless.
Yes I may end up just moving the ECU on top of the fuse box and securing it somehow. I want to keep the stock battery box in place, because it's where I have my relay and boost switch for my WMI kit stashed away nice and clean.

As long as its an aluminum intake you'll hear the turbo spool, and like he mentioned ^^ a 3.5" intake is a 3.5" intake. I run the Cp-e TIP along with their 3.5" MAF+intake and it sounds just as loud as other aluminum intakes I've heard. Its silicone, that's why I was surprised its so loud.

I've found silicone intakes to be louder than aluminum ones as others suggested.

This has been my experience, as well. I recently posted the same thing in another thread, but my CS SRI is definitely louder to my ear than the Mazdaspeed/AEM CAI that it replaced.

Default CorkSport 3.5 inch intake

I got the jbr 3.5 3.5 in tru wide path full aluminum intake and it is really great intake. It's great quality and it's powdercoated. Makes the turbo spool and bypass valve sound 2times louder.
I really recommend this piece or anything from jbr.

Also the way I fit mine in was to relocate the ecu. Right now I'm using the stock battery box. I trimmed the edge of the box a little for ecu cables at the bottom of the box and removed the from sliding battery cover. Fits perfect. But for a much cleaner look , I will be getting a smaller battery and the 51r battery tray and ecu bracket.

This jbr intake with the forge v1 bypass valve sounds awesome.

You don't need the battery tray and ecu bracket. The ECU will fit inside the stock battery box with a 51R battery.

I know but like I said above I want a cleaner look. Tho the corksport battery box looks real good but too much for a box.

Doing the stock battery box is bit cleaner and your battery and ECU would be covered unlike the open battery tray design. And yeah, the CS box is pricey but looks nice.
