Default BPV not venting properly

About 2 months ago I put in the Cobb XLE bpv and it was working great, it would vent pretty loud when running it 50/50. About 2 weeks after that I upgraded my fuel pump internals (autotech) and after getting everyhing back together my BPV makes barely any noise when venting now. Between me and a couple other friends we have gone completely through everything that we know could cause it. Checked all the piping for cracks and being loose and found one cracked vacuum line but replacing that hasn't changed anything. Everything else seems to work ok and there's no other different noises in the turbo spooling or anything. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

On Cobb's site, they recommend lubing the valve as part of periodic maintenance. I would try going to the site and reading some documentation on the bpv.

That's one of the first things we did but it didn't have any effect. I had a Forge on before the Cobb so we tried running that one and it wasn't venting the same way either. They both just sound really weak.

Just go full VTA. Then BOV sound will be louder for you, since that's what you care about.

Is the car bucking between shifts? Are you hitting target boost?

That's not what I care about, and we tried that too and it made little difference. What I care about is why the BOV isn't making any noise when it should be and if that's causing serious problems elsewhere from it not venting at all or just remaining open constantly.

It does some but it has always done that. It's been hitting target boost as well so I don't think there's any boost leaks that I know of.

Nvm. If your hitting boost targets I dont know what to tell you. Any difference running full recir? Is the car lagging a little or building boost as it was prior to the bpv losing sound? Bucking inbetween shifts is not normal. You must have a vaccum leak some where.

It's hitting 17psi where I have it tuned too, I had up to 23 a few days ago but lowered it right away. I have an ap but haven't had time to do any decent logs for it.

Bucking between shifts is not generally a good thing. I advise you to switch to BPV mode if possible. You need to tune for safe BOV operation. Just because you hit your boost targets does not mean you don't have a leak some where. I suggest you perform boost leak test for piece of mind.

Sorry, but by bucking I guess I'm thinking the surge from when the power comes on. I have no idea how to do a boost leak test, are there any how-to's written up in the forums on them that you could link me to?

Awesome thanks, I remember hearing about these now that I saw that but as soon as someone told me how it works I was lost haha. I'll try that out sometime this week then.
