(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  Wheel hop noise? I get a violent pounding type noise during a hard launch. Is this the normal sound of wheel hop or what? I'm going to pull the tranny mount sand check it but I eyeballed it a coulpe of weeks ago when this first happened and I didn't notice anything amiss. The noise sounds like the driver's side wheel is hitting the frame or something. Any ideas on what it could be?

| Not Ranked : 0 score yeah its normal for me too. Even with a TRZ poly I can wheel hop like crazy and it makes a terrible noise. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Upgrade the rear mount and add enganeer's mod to the passenger's side upper mount. No more hop. Just FYI, if you keep doing hard launches with wheel hop you'll end up breaking something at some point. A mount if you're lucky, an axle or something worse if you're not so lucky...

I'll look into enganeer's mod. I am also waiting on the engine torque damper from Mazda3mods.
