(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score As for impressions? Well let me begin by saying... THIS THING IS LOUD!!!!!! haha, no seriously, especially when you let off the gas...the whole cabin is intensified by the loud noise of the engine...I am just hoping that its going through the break in process...but to put it into perspective....imagine putting 2 TRZ Delrin mounts for both the side mounts...thats the best I can describe the noise level....it has significantly shot up...I have a rear cp-e motor mount (50A gen 1 bushing) so it does NOT add any extra noise or vibration from stock...the noise is definitely from the mounts transferring the engine noise through the cabin Vibrations are not bad what so ever...letting it sit at idle is very mellow...also taking off from a stop isn't too bad...it's just when you let off the gas around 3k and coast down...FREAKING LOUD!!!!!!! But I am very satisfied with the engine staying in place...its very solid in the front end....I can rev her up to 5k in first and let off the throttle...and it sticks like glue...very nice....however I have not yet floored it and banged the crap out of the gears...I am waiting for everything to settle in I am hoping in about 500 miles it will settle down...I do not recommend these mounts for daily...haha its hella noisy...that is, assuming the noise level does not go down....but if the noise level does go down, then by all means, this is a product for most people UPDATE: I just wanted to update this and say that...the passenger side mount has failed...medieval is currently working on a re design...this is probably why I have alot of noise versus stock...because alot of the deceleration noise is coming from the passenger side...its the pass mount for sure I currently have the cp-e rear mount, medieval trans mount, and stock pass side mount...and there are NO added noise or vibration over stock...its dead quiet and smooth as butter...its that GREAT! The ONLY thing I can say that isn't stock is when I shift into gear, I can hear the shifter going into gear...THAT IS IT....wonderful! Last edited by steven88; 03-16-2009 at 06:00 PM. |

do you have an aftermarket passenger side mount? I am not 100% sure...but I THINK my additional NOISE is due to the passenger side mount....I heard people who install just the driver's side mount feel minimal to no noise/vibes from stock Just to clarify, I have VERY minimal vibes...what I am talking about is engine NOISE

we shall see how it goes after break in...damn this is my 2nd day and its still very loud btw I drive a 1995 toyota camry v6 as a daily...that thing is smooth as butter and rides like a cloud even after 15 years....so I am kind of spoiled when it comes to comfort...but anyway I been driving the ms3 these two days to break it in quicker

| Not Ranked : 0 score One must remember that each person will have a different threshold on how much they can tolerate for noise, vibrations and so on. The passenger side mount will completely tighten up the drive train. When the motor/drive train is solid added noises and vibrations are a byproduct of this. You must give to get. The fact is our bushing holds in more vibrations than any other on the market. Other companies use a cold pour Energy Suspension bushing that does not hold up to the heat and vibrations like ours do. Our bushings are poured with the same material that NASA uses. To put it simple, if our mounts added vibrations and noise are to much for ones liking, then as of right now no other mount on the market will meet your pain threshold. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score its slowly getting there....almost 2 weeks since install...but I haven't put many miles on it...I would say 250 miles? deceleration noise is still really loud....but its toned down a bit...especially when i'm decelerating from 3k and down.....but if I decelerate from 4k or 5k....it is horrendous still vibrations are great....not too much at all...I do have a cp-e rear motor mount generation 1 (blue bushing) which creates no additional vibes from stock....so that will helps isolate how the new mounts are doing |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score so its been about 1 month now...i put about 900 miles so far...here are my initial impressions the vibes seem to be gone actually...at idle it use to be a very mellow vibe...but now its gone...just like stock at idle...with a/c on, it shakes just a bit...but very acceptable noise is still there...doubt it will ever go away....but it has settled down a bit...i'm shooting for another 500 or so miles and i will report back |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Do you have any extra noise when decelerating? A pretty significant amount of noise started when I added the passenger side mount. I think it has something to do with the two pieces rattling up against each other. There is almost no clearance. Here's Bioevolve's pic Here's your pic Here's a stock pic from the Medieval site |

Other than that, the passenger mount added so much more control to the engine movement. With the aftermarket rear and Medieval tranny mount, I got no wheelhop, but got a lot of low rev vibes. The passenger mount tightened that up good. The only thing is the decel vibes.

| Not Ranked : 0 score If the 2 pieces were hitting each other, you would get a banging/ringing noise. It's very unlikely they are hitting. On hard shifts is the best possible time for them to hit and still they don't. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I have the mounts installed and it's damn cold in Toronto now, so start up is loud, but getting quieter and not noticeable at idle when car is warm...bu deceleration noise is there...if you sit in the passnger seat and put your head close to the windshield, you'll notice it's like the whole cowl/firewall is shaking and is noticeably more shaky than anything else... I dunno about the contact theory, but I'll have a look as well...deceleration noise sounds like someone is running a gas-powered chainsaw in front of the passenger...

| Not Ranked : 0 score What if they were close enough to rattle against each other? I don't know which way the engine torques when accelerating, but it sounds like accelerating separates the parts. When off the throttle or decelerating, it seems the two parts get closer together and rattle harder. |

What you are hearing is more than likely the added NVH associated with solid mounts.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I installed all three mounts last weekend. I got a lot of NVH, as reported. I put the stock passenger mount back in & it is nice & quiet again. Personally, I think I'll just stick with the trans & rear mount. That seems to be the best combo, IMHO.

| Not Ranked : 0 score IDK, I had Deceleration vibes when I first installed the tranny mount but no noise of peices touching when I installed the passenger mount. The vibes started to go away abit, then installed the passenger mount and was still the same. Now after about 2500+ miles I hardly get any deceleration vibes. Just alittle idle vibes when I have the A/C on which is normal. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I actually got a lot of low rev vibration with the rear and tranny mounts. The passenger mount tightened that up quite a bit, but added noise. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Hmm, going from TRZ trans mount to Medieval quieted my car down considerably. Maybe it is just that I was used to pretty bad NVH with the TRZ.
