Default CLOYES chain guides, anyone running them?

I recently ordered CLOYES timing and oil chain guide's and they are a little different.
Of course Rock Auto say's they fit, the manufacture say's they fit, so far everything I found say's they will fit but there are difference's that are making me question it.

Oh my god. Please stop using apostrophes. They are very rarely appropriate, and only in instances where you are trying to show possession (e.g. "That chain guide was Peter's.") or contract a word together with "is" (e.g. "That is a chain guide." --> "That's a chain guide.").

If we rewrote your post without the apostrophes you added, it would read as follows:

Don't care what rock auto says, send them back.

The oem parts are not overpriced, buy them.

Cloyes makes really good timing parts. I’ve used their gears and chains in race engines for decades. But if they don’t fit, it’s a waste of time and money.

Well I am sure they will bolt on and fit, they are just pretty different then OEM so I wanted to see if anyone else was running them but I decided not to dick around with em and sent them back and got OEM like everything else.

I have no idea if they fit. I really don't. I was merely remarking that Cloyes is OEM for many engines and has an outstanding reputation in racing circles. I first encountered their double roller chain and gear sets in building very high output small block MOPAR V8 engines running deep into the 10s in the quarter. Now they have billet sets and all sorts of sophisticated offset timing race sets popular in drag circles.

I would not go with anything other than OEM for a Mazdaspeed 2.3L engine without more information to confirm fit. But, that would not be because there is anything wrong with Cloyes by brand. I'd want to check directly with Cloyes for fitment before taking the chance that the vendor has it listed incorrectly.
